"A politician must serve society with love, passion, honesty, and inclusion." — Dr. Amin Cruz
New York – On June 23, residents of New York’s 13th Congressional District will have an important appointment with democracy. On that day, our community will have the opportunity to reaffirm its support for Congressman Adriano Espaillat, who seeks to continue representing millions of citizens with dignity in the United States Congress in Washington, D.C.
We live in complex and challenging times. The nation faces profound economic, social, immigration, and political challenges that require leadership, experience, the ability to build dialogue, and determination in defending the interests of the most vulnerable communities. For this reason, now more than ever, Congress needs a voice with a proven track record, commitment, and a deep understanding of the realities affecting our people.
For more than three decades of public service, Adriano Espaillat has consistently demonstrated his dedication to workers, immigrants, students, senior citizens, middle-class families, and historically marginalized communities. His presence in Congress represents the continuation of an ongoing fight for social justice, equal opportunity, and the protection of human rights.
The Hispanic-American Press Congress (CHP), the World Press Congress (CMP), the United Nations Organization for Natural Health (ONUSANA), the World Congress of Art and Culture (COMAC), the World Congress on the Environment (COMMA), the World Congress of Ecotourism (COMETUR), the World Women’s Congress (CMM), and the World Congress of Cooperativism (COMUCO), without responding to partisan interests, join the voices of thousands of citizens who recognize the importance of maintaining strong and committed representation in the United States Congress in defense of our community.

As institutions dedicated to social service, education, culture, and journalism, we have worked for decades to promote the common good, freedom of the press, education, a culture of peace, sustainable development, and the defense of those most in need. Our mission has always been to serve the community with honesty, responsibility, and humanity.
The undersigned has personally witnessed Adriano Espaillat’s political and personal growth. From his earliest electoral campaigns, as a journalist leading the newspaper Eco Latino, we voluntarily provided our services and support as press coordinator. Alongside the distinguished businessman Lic. Jaime Vargas, we supported his candidacy and have since observed his unwavering commitment to our community.
We also deeply value the support Congressman Espaillat has provided to numerous academic, cultural, and journalistic events organized by our institutions at prestigious venues such as Columbia University, The City College of New York, Lehman College, Hostos Community College, Bronx Community College, and the iconic United Nations Headquarters, where his presence has consistently demonstrated support for education, culture, and freedom of expression.
Today, our organizations raise their voices to express solidarity and support for someone who has been a steadfast ally of immigrant and working communities. We call upon all our members, collaborators, friends, and supporters to actively participate in the electoral process and express their support for Congressman Adriano Espaillat.
The importance of this election goes beyond a simple electoral contest. The country is experiencing a period of deep political divisions and social uncertainty. Millions of families continue to face challenges related to the cost of living, housing, healthcare, education, economic security, and immigration policies that directly affect thousands of workers and their families.
In this context, it is essential to strengthen the representation of leaders committed to defending civil rights, social justice, and the protection of the most vulnerable communities. Civic participation is a vital tool for preserving democratic values and ensuring that the voices of our communities continue to be heard at the highest levels of government.

Therefore, we urge all residents of the 13th Congressional District to exercise their right to vote this coming June 23. Your participation is essential for strengthening our democracy and ensuring that the needs and aspirations of our communities continue to have effective representation in Washington.
The 13th Congressional District includes important areas of Manhattan and the Bronx, including Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill, and the northwestern Bronx. Each of these neighborhoods is home to a diverse, hardworking population committed to the progress of our city and our nation.
Let us remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: "The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people."
And the historic reflection of President John F. Kennedy: "Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country."

Democracy is not strengthened through indifference, but through participation. Every vote counts. Every citizen has the opportunity to contribute to the future of their community and their country. On June 23, let us participate, make our voices heard, and fulfill our civic duty.
Everyone, let’s vote for Adriano Espaillat!
